About Our Owner/Operator Dwayne Castle

Dwayne Castle, Owner/Operator of Dwayne Castle Music has traveled and sung for more than 40 years. Dwayne started singing at an early age with his sister Drema and later started the gospel group Drema and The Determinations. Their brother Jason joined the group along with long time friend Mickey Sexton. For many years the group traveled singing in churches and concerts, they recorded several albums and had two songs to reach The Singing News top 80's charts, songs written by Mickey.

For the past several years the group has reunited for a few concerts.

Dwayne now is song leader at his home church, his brother Jason also plays drums there.

Dwayne put his studio in as a place to practice and record his own music but then saw the need to help young and upcoming artists. He realized that costly studio time is something out of reach for most artist so he opened his studio to help those artist.

"The love of music and being able to help people just makes you feel good".

Dwayne is married to his beautiful wife Melinda, she works with him at the studio helping with song selection, photos and social media. She is also his most supporting and encouraging fan.

Our Engineer/Producer Jim Price

Jim has over 35 years in the recording industry working with a wide array of local, regional, national artists across many genre's of music. As a freelance engineer/producer he has worked in recording studios throughout Western North Carolina, East Tennessee, Nashville and Atlanta. Jim has worked locally at Maggard Sound in Big Stone Gap, Virginia (Where many engineers gain their start, Thanks to Charlie & Allen) and most recently at Hat Creek Recording Company in Jonesborough, Tennessee.

Along the way Jim as gathered multiple Grammy nominations and engineered or mixed Dove Awards/Nominated projects.
